Building a Simple Evening Tea Ritual
There is a reason our grandmothers kept a kettle on the stove. A warm cup offered at the end of the day says: you are safe now, you can set it down. An evening tea ritual is one of the simplest ways to honor your body temple and close the day with calm.
Choose your herbs with intention
Chamomile and lavender invite rest. Hibiscus is bright and rich in color. Lemon balm and tulsi soothe a busy mind. Ginger warms. Start with one herb you love and learn how it makes you feel before you begin blending.
Set the space
Dim the lights. Light a candle if you wish. Put the phone in another room. The ritual begins before the water boils, when you decide that the next ten minutes belong to you.
Steep slowly
Pour the hot water and watch the color bloom. Most herbal teas want five to ten minutes. Use that time to breathe, stretch, or simply sit.
Sip with gratitude
Hold the cup in both hands. Name one thing from today you are thankful for, and one thing you are ready to release. Then drink slowly.
Small rituals, practiced daily, become the foundation of a well life. If you are curious about herbs for your own needs, a Wellness Consultation is a beautiful place to begin.
