Five Small Ways to Practice Love for Self This Week
At Ancestor Alley we say it often: the greatest love is love for self. It is not a slogan. It is a practice, and like every practice it grows through small, steady acts. Here are five you can begin this week.
Begin the morning with breath
Before you reach for your phone, place one hand on your heart and take seven slow breaths. Ask yourself one question: what do I need today?
Speak kindly in the mirror
Our ancestors understood the power of the spoken word. Say three true and loving things about yourself out loud, even if your voice shakes at first.
Feed your body temple with intention
Choose one meal a day to prepare slowly, with whole foods and gratitude. Notice how you feel afterward.
Move like it is prayer
Ten minutes of gentle movement, a walk, a stretch or a HaVla flow, reminds the body that it is cared for.
Rest without apology
Set one evening aside this week for stillness. A warm bath, a cup of tea, soft music and no obligations. Rest is not a reward. It is a right.
Love for self is the foundation everything else is built on. If you would like support on the journey, our Sister Circle and one-on-one coaching sessions are here for you. Reach out any time. We travel anywhere.
